Monroe County Christian Homeschool Co-op exists to enrich the homeschool experience of our members, by offering educational and social opportunities. We affirm the independent curriculum choices of the parents, and strive to honor our Lord Jesus Christ in all we do.
We meet for two 12 week semesters each year. Classes offered vary by semester, based on the current needs and abilities of the group. They often include group activities that are difficult to offer in a home setting, such as science labs, choir, dance, group sports, and fine arts.
As this is a co-op, not a drop-off program, parents are expected to remain with their children and contribute by teaching, cleaning, assisting with classes, or taking on administrative duties. A volunteer commitment is required to participate in the semester. In addition, a background check is required by the facility host, First Baptist Church of Waterloo.
