Ages: 12 and up

Cost: $10 for the first semester, (The price may increase for the second semester depending on how big of a budget we need to put on our show.)

Calling all kids ages 12 and up who are interested in the ARTS! This class is a two semester/ year long class for kids with a wide range of gifts and interests who are ready to use their skills by putting on a play from scratch! We need kids ready to try their hand at writing, editing, set and costume design, choreography, music composition, advertising, acting, dancing, directing, producing, graphic design, stage crew help, hair and makeup, photography, sound effects and anything you can put your mind to all while learning important life skills like leadership, team work, organization skills, perseverance, and so much more! 

The first semester will be a time of laying the foundation for our play. We will work in teams to write a script, cast roles, create music and choreography and start set/advertisment design.

Semester two will consist of putting all the pieces together to produce a finished original play. We will once again work in teams to act, direct and produce the play. We will focus on stage management, hair/make up, costume design, advertising, etc. 

We hope this class will stretch our kids while also being an avenue to let their natural gifts and talents shine through. While we will have adults around for guidance, we hope this class will be strongly led by the kids who take it. For that reason we ask that the kids who sign up be ready to participate in an active and helpful way for the whole group, maybe even lead sometimes and let their creativity flow. We can’t wait to see what they come up with!
