Escape the Rooms

In this class we will complete a different escape room each week.  If you have never done an escape room it is essentially solving a series of themed puzzles to “escape” the room.  Each room begins with a brief explanation of the backstory and what you’re trying to solve.  The majority, if not all, of the rooms will be paper based (solving puzzles on paper).  The puzzles will be a variety of math, art, reading, and science. The general age range is from 2nd to 4th grade, but the majority of the puzzles will be a 3rd grade recommended age.  That being said, if you feel like your 2nd grader won’t get frustrated easily then they are welcome to join in (and help will be provided because it’s intended to be a fun experience).  Some puzzles may be on the easier side for older kids but if you think it’s something they’d enjoy then they are welcome too!  The last few weeks of class the kids may have the opportunity to create their own escape room, either with friends or individually.
