Math Mystery

Using a detective story as the framework, students must use their math skills–adding and subtracting up to 20– to decode five clues and discover who, where, when, what and why in their investigation of the case. This detective story also encourages literacy skills as students must read simple sentences, comprehend, and match the information given with a text picture stencil to present on their mystery case file. This class will be geared for first and second graders.
