Nature Connections

The Nature Connections class will help guide and support the individual naturalist in each of your children. Topics included, but not limited to, are as follows:

• Month-by-month exploring nature guide and nature journaling
• Finding nature wherever you are
• Identifying plants and animals and discussing native and invasive species
• Exploring the anatomy of plants and animals
• Phases of the moon and the reasons for our seasons
• How to keep yourself and nature safe when you explore
• Gain knowledge with sitting and being one with the natural world around us
• Observing and recording nature

*Required supplies: each student should choose and bring in a unlined/blank nature journal or notebook of their own.

*Students should be willing and ready to go outside as much as possible for each class. Proper clothing and outerwear recommended.

*Schedulers: Ideally, I would like to have this class outside as much as possible so, having a time slot in the afternoon would be preferred since the temps will be warmer at this time.
