Class Overview
The goal of this class is to create a science fair project to present at performance day.
The class will begin by teaching students the scientific method. They will be asked to brainstorm ideas and come up with their own topic. Each student will be asked to construct their own experiments and write a material list. Experiments will ideally be performed during class time. Students will collect data and form a conclusion. Final classes of the semester will work on design of their trifold board. Students are expected to present their board and answer questions about their project on performance day.
Fees include purchase of trifold board, basic materials for experiments, art supplies to decorate boards, and printing costs of written material & pictures of experiments.
Fee: $10
Grades: 4th - 6th
