Short Term Missions

Short Term Missions (STM) is a very practical class led by long term missionary/missiologist, Dr. Mat Kountz, to help learn and understand how to be a blessing to the mission fields we serve on short term mission trips. We will discuss topics such as:

• STM and the Great Commission
• STM and the Biblical Definition of Love
• STM and the Biblical Definition of Missionaries
• Considering “What’s Your Role?”
• STM and Cultural Awareness
• Relationships and Cross-Cultural Credibility
• Translation and Language Issues in Missions
• Planning Future Work
• Cognitive Dissonance from Cross-Cultural Experience
• Practical Missiology

While this class is listed for Jr./Sr. High, we would love any adults/parents interested in this topic to join us as well!

*If there is interest in doing a short term mission trip to Ecuador over winter or summer break we would be happy to lead a team in that.
