Time Travelers

Travel back in time to the medieval times, the Viking age, the Roman world, and ancient Egypt. Using the Usborne book Time Traveler, we will gather in a group each week as I read aloud several pages from this book.  The book is very immersive and allows kids to picture themselves inside each of these time periods.  Each week we will also be creating one large timeline as a class and adding facts, events, and drawings OR we will do an activity that week based on that period in history we are studying.  Projects will include building a medieval castle and catapult, creating Roman sandals, modeling a Roman glass mosaic, fashioning a Viking ship, and chiseling an Egyptian cartouche.  All supplies will be provided.
