Upcycling Jr.& Sr. High Art Class

In this class we will be creating a “sculpture” out of recycled materials of various kinds. We will be using hot glue guns, wire, twines, etc. to build our sculptures. The plan is to work on projects, store them at the building and reveal them at the end of the year on performance day. I’d like to create a space where the kids can relax and focus on their art. I plan to have soft instrumental music playing but also don’t mind if kids bring in headphones and listen to their own music while they work. The fee will be used to purchase materials and tools for the students to use but I also encourage students to be collecting their own recycled materials along the way, I may also provide some sort of container for the students to keep materials in during the semester.
