Wild World of Art

This class will consist of art lessons revolving around animals and nature. From tigers to wasps, deserts to jungles – we will dive into the wild animal kingdom, using this fun subject matter to introduce the 7 basic elements of art: line, shape, texture, form, space, color, and value. Some projects will take place over multiple weeks to allow children time to create something they are incredibly proud of without making them sit in one space too long! They will learn interesting scientific facts about the animals or nature scenes they create. We will utilized a variety of mediums including, but not limited to soft pastels, oil pastels, watercolor, tempura, and acrylic paints.
